Formµla is a battery-operated, portable time-domain NMR device. It has been designed to provide pass/fail answers to the analysis of unknowns against examples of “good” samples it has been trained on. All analytical decisions are made on-board the device, but analysis results can be uploaded to cloud servers via WiFi or cellular connections. This is of particular value when the instrument is being used to track outbreaks of disease or threats of counterfeit products, for example. Single-use sample tubes with RFID identification are required for analysis.
