Multispectral imaging technology which could enable more targeted observation of environmental conditions on Earth is being developed in research led at the University of Strathclyde.

Spectral imaging used to detect water main leaks in France

The WADI project is using hyperspectral, multispectral and thermographic infrared imaging to detect soil moisture and those leaks from water mains in rural areas.
