From the initial page you can search all products and advertisements that have appeared in Spectroscopy Europe from January 1998 onwards by:
Results are displayed 10 at a time; to view further results click the View Next Hits button.
Once your search results are displayed you can read the published description of the item, view of a picture of it if available and check the box in the left-hand column against any items that you would like further information on, and then press the button at the end of the list of results to add the items to your electronic reader enquiry card. The state of your card is then displayed, and you have the option of editing this to remove items you have added in error, returning to the search results, starting a new search or completing the card with your address details and having it sent by e-mail to us for processing.
Editing your Card
If you choose to View/Modify the contents of your Card you will be shown
your Card with a new column on the left with check boxes. Click a check
box against any items you wish to remove from your card and then click the
Submit Deletion button. If you do not wish to make any changes, click one
of the other buttons.
Starting a New Search
This returns you to the search form so that you can search on a new set of
criteria. Your Card travels with you so you can search a number of times
and choose to add items to your card or not each time the results are
displayed.
Completing the Card
Once you have completed your searches and added all items of interest, you
need to add your address details to the card before it can be sent to us
for processing. You will need to supply, as a minimum, your name, company
name, first line of address, city, country and e-mail address (in case we
need to contact you about your enquiry).
What Then?
Once you have completed your Card and sent it to us, we will process it
and pass your enquiries on to the relevant manufacturer who will send you
information on the product or service.
The Spectroscopy Europe web-based product database and enquiry service is based on the Shopping Cart model, with the idea of “Cart” replaced with “Card”. Your Card follows you around whilst you are in the enquiry service, but if you leave the enquiry service area you will lose the information on your Card, unless you use the Back button on your browser to return. If you do lose your Card, it's no problem, just start searching again. Of course, there is no charge for using the service!
Data Protection
We will treat your address information as if you had completed a
paper-based reader enquiry or registration card. This means that we may
allow companies in the spectroscopy field (instrument manufacturers,
publishers, training organisers etc.) to use the list of subscribers to
send you information on their products or services. We never let these (or
other) companies have a copy of the list, any mailings are carried out by
a third party mailing house for our and your security. You will therefore
protected both from indiscriminate mailings whether through the post or by
e-mail. You have the option to request that your details are not used for
this purpose. We will, of course, respect this, but the income from list
rental helps to pay for sending Spectroscopy Europe free to
readers, so please do not automatically tick the box requesting this.
