D-Torch for ICP spectrometers
The D-Torch from Glass Expansion is a new demountable torch design for ICP spectrometers. It allows the outer tube and the injector to be quickly and easily replaced and is low in cost.Interchangeable outer tubes made of quartz or ceramic are available. The quartz tubes are suitable for most aqueous applications, but the ceramic tube is of particular benefit for samples with high dissolved solids or for oils analysis and for Si determinations. It also has a much longer lifetime, greatly reducing interruptions and downtime due to torch failure. The availability of interchangeable injectors means that the torch can easily be configured for different samples such as organic solutions or solutions containing HF. It uses the same mounting system as the standard fixed torch so there is no additional cost or complexity to install it.
