818P-500-55 detectors
Newport Corporation has introduced three new additions to its series of thermopile detectors. The 818P-500-55 is a fan-cooled detector which can handle up to 500 W of continuous optical power. This device also features a 55 mm diameter active area and very flat responses in an extended wavelength range from 0.9 µm to 20 µm.
The 818P-3KW-060 is a water-cooled detector than can handle up to 3 kW of CW optical power. Strategically designed to perform effectively and with low sensitivity to cooling water temperature, this model is suitable for lasers with a high optical output power, such as CO2 and fibre lasers. Output connections include an attached cable with a DB15 connector and/or a USB port for direct interface without a power meter. The 818P-001-12NIR is a thermopile optical sensor, designed to measure down to micro-watt-level optical power, with a wavelength range from 0.28 µm to 1.36 µm. It is insensitive to beam position and offers the spatial dependence of thermopiles while retaining the sensitivity of a photodiode. It is suitable for users working with lasers in the µW and mW range and those who require lower thermal drift than standard thermopile detectors. It is calibrated with a fused silica window mounted on the tube so that long wavelengths can be cut out of the measurement.Newport Corporation
