Escalab 250Xi XRP spectrometer

Thermo Fisher has launched its Escalab 250Xi X-ray photoelectron spectrometer which is a fully integrated surface characterisation tool designed to meet the demands of surface engineers whether working in research and development of new surface chemistries or dealing with routine characterisation of surfaces, thin films and coatings. The instrument integrates Thermo's spectrometer performance with its Avantage XPS acquisition and processing user interface together with an advanced parallel image detection system which enables quantitative spectroscopic analysis of small features within the image field of view. The system can be configured with a range of other surface characterisation techniques. Ion scattering spectroscopy and reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy are provided with the instrument while UV photoelectron spectroscopy and Auger electron spectroscopy are available as options. A sample preparation chamber is provided with the instrument as standard. Where required, the system can be expanded with a selection of sample preparation options and additional experimental chambers.
