Pfeiffer Vacuum has brought a new series of magnetically levitated turbopumps named HiPace M to the market. They cover pumping speeds of 300 L s–1, 700 L s–1 and 800 L s–1 and achieve high compression ratios for all gases. Features include a special rotor design for unlimited rotor service life, achievement of Protection Class IP 54, which enables the pumps to be employed in industrial environments, a low dynamic field which does not interfere with sensitive nearby equipment, an integrated electronic drive unit which reduces the need for costly and cumbersome cabling, innovative technology which reduces power consumption, reduced run-up times, functional aluminium housings which make the pumps extremely light, an option sealing gas connection which safeguards bearings against particulate matter or oxidising gases and quiet, low-vibration operation.
