Princeton Instrument has presented its eXcelon CCD/EMCCD sensor technology developed in collaboration with e3v and Photometrics.

Benefits include improved QE over broader wavelength regions, up to ten times lower etaloning or unwanted fringes in the NIR region and lower dark current. eXelon enabled cameras can be used over a broad wavelength range and provide increased quantum efficiency in both the NIR and UV regions. The new technology is available in the ProEM, PIXIS and Spec-10 platforms.
