SplitFlow 50 turbopump

The new SplitFlow 50 from Pfeiffer Vacuum is a small, powerful turbopump that is suitable for use in analytical applications. This pump is designed with multiple inlets which means a single SplitFlow can simultaneously evacuate two sequential chambers in a system enabling a single vacuum system to replace multiple turbopumps. Depending on the gas load in question, a small, cost-effective dry diaphragm pump can be used as the backing pump, making a significant reduction in first and operating costs. In addition to analytical equipment, the pumps are also being used successfully in leak detectors whose analytical principle is based on mass spectrometry. Its rugged design, incorporating bearing technology, is suitable for use on API mass spectrometers. Custom adaptation of the pump housing to match the vacuum chambers in question is possible and the modular pump concept affords individual configurations as well as simple integration into existing systems.
