Your correspondent chose Tour A, to the Grand Palace, which was a spectacular and fantastically decorated collection of buildings and temples. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha was a highlight. The Emerald Buddha is dressed in different clothes for the three Thai seasons of Summer, Rainy and Winter. He had recently received his winter clothes, although for someone from the UK, the temperature outside was far greater than anything we experience even at the height of summer!
